Procell Microchanneling
Melissa Fox and her team use Procell MicroChanneling for their microneedling treatments.
Procell™ MicroChanneling is an evolved form of microneedling. It works by creating microscopic channels in your skin with an up-and-down stamping motion that triggers a cascade of rejuvenation. As they heal, these channels produce new, high-quality collagen and elastin, as well as other beneficial elements such as peptides and epidermal growth factors. The result is more plump, stronger, healthier skin.
How is Procell different from microneedling pens and derma rollers?
Traditional microneedling technologies such as pens and rollers work by creating damage to the skin with small needles. Meanwhile, Procell™ relies on the gentle application of tiny micro-filaments to stimulate the skin with little actual damage.
The straight up-and-down stamping motion of the ProCell device ensures the needles penetrate straight into the layers of the skin instead of scratching and tearing the surface of the skin like microneedling pens that are moved in circular motions across the surface of the skin.
A single Procell treatment creates hundreds of thousands of microchannels. In response to each micro-injury, an inflammatory healing process begins which initiates the formation of new collagen. Targeted Results
Flawless Microneedling is ideal for anyone with skin texture, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin and aging concerns. Whether or not you have a specific skin concern you are targeting, microneedling is still recommended as an overall anti-aging preventative treatment.
Pitted acne scars are erased and wrinkles are smoothed out with a series of treatments and aftercare recommended by your Flawless aesthetician. Three to five sessions can be needed for severe acne scarring and can be completed every 6-8 weeks.
What to Expect - Does Microneedling Hurt?
Like every treatment at Flawless by Melissa Fox, our Microneedling Facial begins with a thorough enzymatic cleansing massage followed by gentle pore-by-pore extractions. An upgraded exfoliation such as dermaplaning or microdermabrasion is recommended, followed by the application of a light numbing cream.
Procell’s exclusive Growth Factor concentrate is applied during treatment. This cutting-edge growth-factor serum is derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells that are known to promote scarless healing with minimal inflammation. Application of serums immediately after microchanneling treatment enhances delivery and collagen growth. The serum absorbs deep into the skin via the thousands of microchannels created by the device.
Once the skin is evenly treated with the Procell device, your Flawless aesthetician will place Celluma’s LED Light Therapy Panel over your skin to initiate healing and collagen stimulation.
After a few minutes under the light, you are ready to begin your healing process! Your aesthetician will review your home care instructions for the next several days.
Post-Treatment Care - Microneedling Before and After
Immediately following your Flawless Microneedling treatment, you should expect your skin to feel very tight and slightly warm, as if you’ve hard a moderate sunburn. Moderate redness is expected and it a welcome sign of deep collagen stimulation!
Your Flawless Microneedling treatment includes a concentrated single-use healing serum and sheet mask to use at home about 2 hours after your treatment. It is essential that you not apply any other products onto your skin for at least 90 minutes. The open microchannels in your skin will cause any products to penetrate deeply, so it is essential to only use your Flawless approved home care to prevent any irritation or adverse reaction.
Refrain from sweating for 24 hours and stick to mild cleansing and hydrating products until your skin has fully healed.
Results
Within 48 hours, your skin will feel plump, firm and smooth. Results peak after 1-2 weeks, once our body has produced ample collagen that makes it way to the surface of the skin.
This treatment can be repeated every 6 weeks, but results are cumulative and lasting, so there’s no rush between appointments!
PRO TIP: For clients seeking to treat acne scarring but are still prone to clogged pores and congestion, we recommend alternating Microneedling with deep cleansing facials every 6-8 weeks!
