Vivant Skin Care FAQS

Vivant skin care products have immense popularity for their effectiveness. But, clients, especially new ones, raise concerns about their work and suitability for different skin types. The following section settles these concerns.

What is Acne?

It is a skin condition characterized by pimples filled with pus. It occurs when sebum and dead cells clog your skin pores. Although it affects anyone, it is common in adolescents. Acne pimples appear on your face, neck, or chest.

Will the Sun Help Acne?

There is no documentation suggesting that the sun treats acne. But, if you get an improvement upon exposure to the sun, use sunscreen with a high SPF outdoors. Sunscreen prevents sunburn while reducing your risk of skin cancer.

What Regimen Would you Suggest for Someone With Acne and Very Oily Skin?

For quick and sure results, use the following treatment regimen:

In the morning

Exfoliate your skin with a 3% BP exfoliating cleanser. Next, tone your skin with a 3-in-1 Mandelic Acid toner. After toning, apply the Pure C + E Serum to improve your overall skin health.

In the evening

Wash your skin with the same 3% BP Exfoliating Cleanser as in the morning. Then, tone your skin with the 3-in-1 Mandelic Acid toner. After toning, apply Exfol A. Use a 10% Gel Medication on top of the Exfol A. Apply Efol A on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for even better results.

Is There Any Way to Avoid the Initial Acne Flare-up While on Vitamin A Therapy?

Use vitamin A therapy, Mandelic acid, and BP cleansers to manage the flare-up.

Is Vitamin A Equally Good for Inflamed Acne?

Vitamin A is suitable for treating comedonal and inflamed acne. The vitamin opens up pores and flushes out toxins. As a result, it reduces inflammation and prevents future breakouts.

What Kinds of Cosmetics Should You Recommend to Use if I Have Acne?

When it comes to choosing a foundation for your acne-prone skin, avoid foundations. But, if you must use a foundation, ensure it is labeled non-comedogenic and free of pore-clogging oil.

Alternatively, you can use a homemade foundation. How to make one? Mix a small amount of Day Treatment Lotion SPF 15 and mineral makeup.

If a Client Has an Old Cyst That Flares up from Time to Time, What is the Best way to Get Rid of it Permanently?

Use ice compresses to reduce inflammation and swelling. Then, use the Vivant Clear Complexion Starter System to bring the comedones to the surface. Once the comedone is near the surface, extract it to clear the pore. After extraction, the area should heal, and the cyst should not reoccur.

What Do You Tell People Who Have Red Macules? Is There a Way to Diminish Them More Rapidly Than Mother Nature Might?

Red macules fade without any special treatment. But, if the red marks are bothersome, accelerate healing with Totaloe and LED light therapy. Apply the Totaloe two times per day.

What is the Best New Treatment for Rosacea to Eliminate Redness?

VIVANT designed Rejuv RX to treat rosacea and reduce redness. Rejuv has oligopeptides, which reduce the production of prostaglandins. It gives results within two weeks. To speed up recovery, use the Green Tea Cleanser or cleansing milk, and LED blue light therapy.

What is Melasma, and How Do You Treat it?

Melasma is a skin condition characterized by the appearance of dark, irregularly shaped patches on the face. Dark patches appear on the cheeks, forehead, nose, and upper lip. Melasma occurs when melanocytes become overactive.

To treat Melasma, protect the skin from triggers like sunlight and products with estrogen. You can also treat the condition with Vivant's Mandelic acid and hydroquinone.

Does Hydrocortisone Thin the Skin if Used For Long Periods of Time?

Long-term use of topical steroids like Fluorocinelone can thin the skin. But, it is not the case for hydrocortisone. Why? Hydrocortisone is a mild steroid that is unlikely to thin the skin.

Is Bismuth Oxychloride Acneogenic an Irritant?

Bismuth oxychloride is an inert ingredient. It does not have any active properties. As a result, skin care experts considered it non-irritating and non-acnegenic.

Can You Replace Glycolic Acid With Mandelic Acid in Every Circumstance?

Although they share properties, each acid has its benefits. Glycolic acid is suitable for treating closed comedones. On the other hand, mandelic acid is ideal for blotchy-brown acne. So, you cannot replace Glycolic acid with Mandelic acid in every circumstance.

How Does Salicylic Acid Compare to Vitamin A or Mandelic Acid in treating acne?

Salicylic acid, vitamin A, and mandelic acid are ingredients in products that treat acne. Salicylic acid peels the skin without interfering with comedones. On the contrary, Vitamin A and mandelic acid peel the skin and inside the pore to extract comedones.

Can You Use Mandelic Acid 3-IN-1 Cleanser to Control Body Odor?

Mandelic acid 3-in-1 cleanser kills germs like yeasts, which can cause body odor. To use the product for body odor control, apply the cleanser to your scalp. Massage it into the skin, and leave it on.

Next, proceed to the rest of your body, focusing on the groin area and axilla. Rub the cleanser into the skin and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Finally, rinse your body, removing all traces of the mandelic acid.

How do I Know if I Need to Use the Normalizing Tonic or if I Need to Use a Mandelic ACID 3-IN-1 toner? What is the Difference between the Two?

Toners and tonics have one function. They remove dead skin cells. As a result, they allow conditioners and moisturizers to penetrate deeper into the skin.

Toners and tonics contain either mandelic acid or glycolic acid. Those with Mandelic acid are suitable for patients with dark skin. The reason? They absorb slowly into the skin, minimizing the chances of hyperpigmentation. Those with glycolic acid are effective in removing dead cells and unclogging pores.

Is BP 10% Gel Medication as Effective as a Wash as it is as a Leave-on?

Whether used as a wash or a leave-on, BP 10% gel medication is effective. But its efficacy is more significant when used as a leave-on. As a leave-on, BP 10% gel medication penetrates deep into the pores to control bacteria and reduce acne.

PROPEEL® improves the appearance of all skin types. But, it is most effective for lighter skin types, particularly Fitzpatrick skin types I-III. To achieve the best results, precondition the skin before using PROPEEL.

Where is the TCA Used in VIVANT®'S PROPEELS® Derived From? Why is it so Effective to Peel the Skin?

The TCA in Vivant®'s PROPEEL® is from chlorine added to acetic acid. It is effective since it breaks down the bonds between the dead skin cells, allowing them to be easily removed.
